my stamp sets in a way I wouldn't have normally, especially if i have a particular set I want to use! So If you don't already take part in Challenge blogs then definitely give one a go!

Here is my entry for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge:

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-qStwVjhTNE/TB458hhAZKI/AAAAAAAAAJU/7jXgjbesl1M/s1600/happyeverythingmain.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; The Square paper (middle and scalloped edge) was aged using the old fashioned Tea Bag method and then touched up using inks. The stamps are from the 'On a Pedestal' set by Stampin' Up!

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; The hardest part of course, is knowing when enough is enough and to stop adding elements to your card!

This week the challenge sketch over at Get Sketchy is the perfect starting point for such a card though, and I loved making it!

The flower is a stamp from the "Best Wishes and More" set by Stampin' Up! which was stamped 3 times in 'Rose Red' ink and Twice in 'Taken with Teal' ink. I then cut out 2 Rose Red flowers and one Taken with Teal flower and gently bent the edges up. From the remaining stamped flowers I punched out the middle and adhered the rose red middle to the Taken With Teal flower and the Taken with Teal middle the Rose Red flowers. They were adhered with 3d pads to add extra dimension.

The 'stalks' were machine stitched using a zigzag setting (G if you use the Janome Mini) and the flowers then added to the end of them using 3d pads again (don't you just love dimension?)

The Letters are made using the Tim Holtz Naked Grunge Board Alphabet set. The letters were inked with Taken With Teal and Rose Red Ink to match the flowers. I then used the same flower stamp as before and stamped onto the letters using 'Whisper White' Ink to add a bit more interest.

I hope you enjoy!

Jo
x
